Welcome to my little nook of where I share my chronicles in practical magic, crafting, and disability in the pulse of an urban setting. I'm a tea and tarot enthusiast, foodie, library mouse, and avid archer, so many posts will involve reviews, recipes, and photo dumps of my adventures. A small disclaimer, some of my blogs will also brush on sensitive topics, which will include content warnings in the description.

“I am out with lanterns looking for myself”

About

My name is Taal, and I am a queer, neurodivergent witch residing in Southeast Michigan. My journey to embracing witchcraft has been woven with threads of both profound struggle and enduring resilience. I am a cult survivor, having escaped when I was 17. Then a couple years later, I found myself choosing autonomy over conformity to which I embarked on a two-and-a-half-year odyssey of homelessness, traversing the vast expanse of the East Coast and venturing into parts of the West Coast.
This period was a dichotomy of liberation and hardship. The newfound freedom of the open road was intertwined with the harsh realities of houselessness, leaving an imprint that would take years to fully unpack.
In 2019, I finally found stability, establishing a home that has become a sanctuary for healing and self-discovery. These past six years have illuminated deep-seated wounds, allowing me to confront and navigate the complexities of my past and C+PTSD diagnosis within a safe space. I am dedicated to cultivating a nurturing environment, embracing the principles of slow living, and forging traditions that resonate with my authentic self.
